Your Roof Is Leaking — What to Do RIGHT NOW
There is nothing worse than waking up at 2 AM to the sound of dripping water inside your house. I've taken those midnight panicked phone calls more times than I can count. First: take a deep breath. Here is what I want you to do immediately.
Step 1: Contain the Water
Grab buckets, trash cans, whatever you have. Move your electronics and furniture. If the ceiling paint is bubbling like a water balloon, grab a screwdriver and poke a small hole in it over a bucket. If you don't release that pressure, the whole ceiling panel will collapse.
Step 2: Call Us
Once you've contained the mess inside, pick up the phone. SkyShield Roofing has emergency protocols in place. Do not climb on the roof in the dark or in the rain. That is how terrible accidents happen. Wait for my crew to arrive with our safety harnesses and emergency tarps.
